I smiled a little this morning when a friend posted this old promo video from my years as Boy Scout Summer Camp Director (2002-2004).  It was produced by an Eagle Scout.  The only direction I gave him was that I wanted to see a fast paced video showing as many of the activities possible.  I’m fairly sure that I recommended using Blur’s “Song 2″; the song’s intensity and length makes it a perfect soundtrack for any promotional effort.  Remember, it’s 2003-2004; the quality is not the same as today.

This was only part of the many initiatives put forward by hundreds of amazing volunteers that turned this program from an attendance low of 298 Scouts in 2002 (and a huge revenue loser) to a very profitable 671 Scouts in 2004.  It was also a great tool in recruiting hundreds of youths to join Scouting that fall.
