The Deftones released a new video for their new single “Swerve”.
After the Jump: In memory of one of the founding members, bassist Chi Cheng, who passed away on April 14, I posted a couple of their earliest classics: “Be Quiet And Drive (Far Away)” & “My Own Summer (Shove It)”.

Along with Bridegroom, I’m anxious to see Greetings from Tim Buckley. While it’s based on one true event, the rest is fiction. ”Greetings from Tim Buckley” explores Jeff Buckley coming to terms of being abandoned by his legendary father. Cast as Buckley is Gossip Girls Penn Badgley. I imagine that it would be difficult for anyone to portray someone who, because of his untimely and tragic drowning at age 30, has become a mythical hero.
I’m not a fan of NBC’s “Smash”. So much whining! I must give major props to Andy Mientus who blew me away with his cover of Buckley’s “The Last Goodbye”. It was the emotional closing song of Saturday’s episode. I was starting to change my mind about this show…until the last second. Why do they always kill the (cute) gay character?!

If you didn’t already know from this week’s news reports, Morrissey is consistent. He has never been and never will be a fan of the Iron Lady. This old video is shockingly brutal.

In 1980-1982, ABC attempted to capitilize on NBC’s SNL success by coming up with their own late night comedy show-on Fridays. The most memorable moment: The Clash performing for the first time on American television. ..and here it is!
